DUBAI: Shiseido Company, a Japanese leader in beauty and innovation, opened its second flagship store in the UAE’s Dubai Mall.

The opening of Shiseido, which is in partnership with Majid Al Futtaim, debuted its first store in Dubai in May last year.

The new store is located on the first floor of Dubai Mall facing the ice rink and offered a new, luxurious shopping experience, where customers can enjoy personalized skincare consultations by beauty therapists.

As part of the grand opening festivities, Shiseido presented a one-of-a-kind branded ice rink show in Dubai Mall on Thursday, blending tradition with innovation to honour Shiseido’s legacy of beauty and its rich heritage of over 150 years in skincare excellence.

This showcase combined science, artistry, technology and storytelling to create a celebration of beauty and the brand’s values, paying homage to Shiseido’s Japanese roots.

In addition to the branded ice rink show, Shiseido offered promotions and gifts with purchase for customers throughout the opening weekend.

Visitors also benefited from personalized skincare consultations from Shiseido’s team of beauty experts.

Shiseido EMEA President and CEO Franck Marilly said: “We are delighted to bring our namesake brand’s state-of-the-art skincare innovation to the region’s very dynamic and demanding consumers.”

CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle, Fahed Ghanim, said the opening of Shiseido in the Middle East marks the company’s debut into the beauty world.

“Shiseido’s 150-year reputation aligns perfectly with our company’s vision and commitment to delivering unique and exceptional experiences for our customers,” he said.
