2024 BMW X5 And X6 Facelift: View Them From Every Angle In New Mega Gallery

BMW has released hundreds of new images of the new X5 and X6 models that were first unveiled earlier this year, coinciding with members of the press having their first opportunity to put the SUVs through their paces.

Given that the 2024 X5 and X6 are facelifts rather than all-new models, they bear an obvious similarity to their respective predecessors. This is most obvious with the overall shape of the duo but BMW’s designers have worked hard to make some significant changes to the front and rear fascias. These start with the fitment of slimmer headlights and new bumpers with vertical vents. The X5 looks slightly more luxurious as it has chrome kidney grilles while the X6 comes standard with the M Sport package and black grilles.

BMW has also fitted the 2024 X5 and X6 models with new LED taillights complete with a more complex light signature. In typical fashion, the X5 M and X6 M (now only sold in Competition trim) immediately stand out from lesser variants thanks to the more aggressive bodywork that includes new front-ends with enlarged air intakes and a much sharper bumper and grille package. Many of these images also show the X5 M Competition adorned in a shade of matte black that makes it look even more impressive.

Interior changes have also been made across the X5 and X6 lineup. These include the fitment of BMW’s Curved Display that pairs a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with a 14.9-inch infotainment display. The traditional shifter has also been ditched in favor of a small toggle next to the iDrive dial.

A plethora of different engines are on offer depending on the market. These include X5 sDrive40i, X5 xDrive40i, and X6 xDrive40i models that use a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system to deliver 375 hp and 398 lb-ft (540 Nm). An X5 xDrive50e PHEV is also available with the same engine but a more powerful motor, resulting in 483 hp and 516 lb-ft (699 Nm).

Both the 2024 BMW X5 M and X6 M rock a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 with an electrified 48-volt system and muster up 617 hp and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm).
