Ford introduced the 2024 Ranger Raptor in May, but the company showed it next to the F-150 Raptor at the Woodward Dream Cruise. While it’s no secret that the two models share a similar design, it’s interesting to see them side-by-side and sporting the same color.
The family look is immediately apparent up front as both trucks have a “FORD” grille, a silver skid plate, and a similar front bumper. They’re joined by black recovery points and a familiar hood. Even though there’s plenty in common, the Ranger Raptor has C-shaped headlights while the F-150 Raptor’s are more plain.
Both trucks have front fender vents, rounded fender flares, and a SuperCrew configuration, but they’re easy to tell apart in profile. One of the most noticeable differences is the greenhouse as the F-150 Raptor sports distinctive front doors and side glass.

The trucks ride on 17-inch wheels, but the Ranger has 33-inch all-terrain tires whereas the F-150 wears larger 35-inchers. The full-size truck can even be equipped with optional 37-inch tires from the factory.
Speaking of size, it’s impossible to ignore dimensions. The Ranger Raptor measures 210.9 inches (5,357 mm) long and has a wheelbase that spans 128.7 inches (3,269 mm). The F-150 Raptor is far larger as it’s 232.6 inches (5,908 mm) long and has 145.4 inches (3,693 mm) between the wheels. While we’ve got the tape measure out, we might as well mention the Ranger has a 5’ bed while the F-150 sports a larger 5.5’ bed.
Despite the similar exterior designs, the cabins are totally different as the Ranger Raptor has a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch infotainment system with a portrait orientation. Other highlights include red accents, a 10-speaker B&O audio system, and heated leather front seats.

The F-150 Raptor has a classier cabin with heated and ventilated leather front seats, a heated steering wheel, and an 18-speaker B&O audio system. They’re joined by ambient lighting, a wireless smartphone charger, and higher quality materials. Drivers will also find a 12-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch infotainment system with a landscape orientation.
Under the hood, the Ranger Raptor has a twin-turbo 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 pumping out 405 hp (302 kW / 411 PS) and 430 lb-ft (582 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a ten-speed automatic transmission and a standard four-wheel drive system. Other highlights include front and rear locking differentials.
The F-150 Raptor brings the thunder thanks to a larger, twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 with 450 hp (336 kW / 456 PS) and 510 lb-ft (691 Nm) of torque. It too is paired to a ten-speed automatic transmission and a standard four-wheel drive system. Customers can also opt for a Raptor R, which has a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 developing 700 hp (522 kW / 710 PS).
In terms of pricing, the 2024 Ranger Raptor starts at $55,365 before a $1,595 destination charge brings the total to $56,960. The 2023 F-150 Raptor carries a heftier price tag of $76,775 and it’s matched by a bigger $1,995 destination fee.
