Four years after its debut, the Corolla Cross receives a mid-lifecycle update to help it in its fight against the competition
The Toyota Corolla Cross is a compact SUV with many different faces depending on the market. The Thai-spec version has just been renewed, getting closer to the European, Japanese, and American models in terms of technology while retaining distinct facial features.
The facelift of the Thai-spec Toyota Corolla Cross comes nearly four years after its debut in 2020. The highlight of the exterior upgrades is the redesigned grille featuring a body-colored finish and a honeycomb pattern. Furthermore, the model adopts a new set of LED Crystalized headlights with sequential turn signals which are already found in other markets. These are connected with the Toyota emblem via a trim piece, resembling the full-width LED design of other models.
The rest of the bodywork is carried over from the pre-facelifted version, including the sporty bodykit of the GR Sport trim that remains unchanged. The color palette has five shades including the new Cement Gray Metallic.

Inside, the facelifted Corolla Cross boasts a new panoramic frameless roof that comes with an electric sunshade. The digital cockpit comprises a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch infotainment that is compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Equipment includes a wireless charging pad, USB Type-C ports, dual-zone air conditioning, and an improved Toyota Safety Sense ADAS suite. Finally, the interior upholstery is available in black or dark rose shades.
As with its predecessor, the facelifted model is available with either a naturally-aspirated 1.8-liter gasoline engine or a 1.8-liter self-charging hybrid powertrain. The non-electrified version produces 138 hp (103 kW / 140 PS) and 172 Nm (127 lb-ft) of torque sending power to the front wheels through the Super CVT-i gearbox. The more efficient hybrid combines a 1.8-liter engine with an electric motor for a combined output of 121 hp (90 kW / 122 PS), transmitted to the front wheels through an E-CVT gearbox.
