Who Needs A Cybertruck When You Can Buy A $9,000 Samsung Phone That Looks Like One?

Smartphones have become as indispensable to our daily lives as cars — sometimes even more so. However, the tuning community for phones doesn’t seem as well-established as it is for vehicles. That might change with Caviar, a Dubai-based company, aiming to shake things up with its range of modified phones, and its latest model is quite a doozy.

Or, more accurately, it’s inspired by the Tesla Cybertruck. Built on the Samsung S24 Ultra, it features imitations of the windshield, sunroof, and bed cover from the futuristic electric pickup truck, as well as its headlights and taillights.

That’s all well and good, if a bit silly, but you may gasp at the price. The company is asking for nearly $9,000, or to be precise, $8,770, for its Cybersamsung S-twenty-truck. Why the hefty price? Well, this isn’t just your ordinary cover, it’s a whole phone with a new body. Because clearly, nothing screams “practical” like a phone that looks like a truck.

You can think of Caviar being to phones as Mansory or Manhart are to cars. Although its products are based on existing devices, it does more than just wrap it in a protective case. Instead, the company promises that the modified phone features all metal construction, and a geometric body.

And that isn’t Caviar’s only automotive-inspired phone. For Apple fans, it also has a custom version of the iPhone 15 called Bionic M that was inspired by the Mercedes Vision AVTR concept car. It rings in at a whopping $8,990.

However, that’s part of a different Caviar collection, called Vision. The Cybertruck belongs to the Future collection and, amusingly, the only other model in the lineup is inspired by the Apple Vision Pro, the VR headset that you absolutely shouldn’t use while you’re driving your Cybertruck.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max Vision is inspired by the aesthetics of the new headset, and features a swoopier, and all around brighter design. Caviar promises that it will perfectly complement the new high-tech toy, and prices for it start at $8,060.
