The last date of submission is May 25 and the portal will be open till 5 p.m. Along with higher secondary schools help desks will be available to all the government and supported high schools.
Kerala Plus One admission 2024: The Directorate of Government Examinations, Government of Kerala has started accepting the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) Plus One (Class 11) admission for the academic year 2024-25 on its official website https://hscap.kerala.gov.in/ . Until May 25, all the interested students can now apply online for Plus One admission to higher secondary institutions following the Kerala syllabus.
Trial allotment will be issued on May 29. First allotment will be published on June 5, main allotment (round 1) will be on June 5, main allotment (round 2) will be on June 12, main allotment (round 3) will be on June 19. The Plus One classes will begin on June 24. Merit admissions (including supplementary rounds) will be issued until July 31.
Kerala Plus One admission 2024: Application Process
A simpler one window application process has been implemented which means prospective candidates have to apply through the online method itself. All the students pre download the prospectus before submitting your application form. Familiarize yourself with the User manual from the ‘Public’ section giving on the website https://hscap.kerala.gov.in/ along with all other important details.
Students should carry all the necessary qualifications along with concessions documents while filling the form because details like date or number may be requested. Take note of the application number acquired from the website. It might be possible that there will be no document requested to be uploaded and the selection criteria will be set as per the information that the students submit, ensuring that the application is error-free.
Kerala Plus One admission 2024: Eligibility Norm
- Applicants should obtain a minimum qualification ‘D+’ grade in SSLC/class 10 or equivalent exam.
- For those students who pursued the CBSE course will be considered for the main allotment only if they pass the board exam.
- CBSE students who have passed the school level exam will be examined for admissions of the vacancies that exist after the main allotment. These students can join the combination Mathematics in class 11 only if they have cleared the ‘Mathematics standard’.
- Ranks will be decided based on the weightage grade point average (WGPA) system to evaluate marks scored in class 10.
- Selection will take place through a computer program that considers rank, choice of the applicants and seats available.
- The age of the candidates should be 15-20 years as of June 1, 2024. For scheduled category students the upper age limit is 22 years, for visually, hearing and mentally challenged it is 25 years.
- However, there is no upper age limit for students who cleared the exam supervised by the Kerala Board of Public Examinations.
- From the Director of General Education there is relaxation for those students who pursued other boards in lower and upper age limits for up to six months.
Kerala Plus One admission 2024: Choice Filling
The total combinations of subjects are 45 and students should prepare a list of combinations as per their likeness of subject and aptitude by checking whether the combinations are available in the schools they wish to join. All the students should keep it in mind that once they choose commerce or humanities, their scope for further studies in science, technology, biology, medicine or agriculture would be closed.
Take a print out of the form and ensure all the details are correct before submitting the online application.
