I’ve been quietly grumbling about chicken breasts for a while. The unspoken truth is that food editors don’t buy, cook, or enjoy chicken breasts, but have to develop recipes and write about them ad nauseam since they are so beloved by home cooks.

This all-white meat is relatively low in fat, has a mild flavor, and is synonymous with “easy.” However, the breasts are also the most expensive cut of chicken, they’re prone to dryness if overcooked, and don’t taste like much.

Ideas for How To Use Hellmann’s Flavored Mayos All Summer Long

Here are some ideas I have in mind:

  • Marinate chicken breasts and thighs or pork chops before throwing them on the grill
  • Smear on buns for classic burgers, fish sandwiches, and black bean burgers
  • Toss with shredded cabbage and thinly sliced onions for a quick coleslaw
  • Serve with fish cakes (tuna, shrimp, salmon, crab, and cod)
