Shah Rukh Khan was recently hospitalised after suffering a heatstroke. He was admitted in a hospital in Ahmedabad as he was here in the city for cheering on his cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing IPL. Soon after the incident, Malaika Arora responded to his health. A fitness enthusiast herself, the diva spoke about how ne may try to adopt daily hits to lower the risk of dehydration and heatstroke.

Malaika Arora Shares Tips to Avoid Heatstroke
Speaking with Instant Bollywood about Shah Rukh Khan’s health scare, the actress said, “That’s why I am saying you have to protect your environment. That’s the only way the environment will love you back. But of course, you can’t really do much.”
She further enlisted quick tips that may help to survive the scorching sun. Arora said,” Stay hydrated, drink loads of water, wear cool, comfortable cotton clothes, use sunscreen, try carrying an umbrella. These are my tips!”
Why Malaika’s Tips Are Important?
A heatstroke occurs when the body temperature exceeds 104 degrees Fahrenheit and the body’s mechanism fails to regulate the temperature.
Tips to Prevent Heatstroke:
- Stay Hydrated: This is the golden rule to avoid health issues. Keeping the body hydrated is imperative to survive the hot temperature. Increase intake of water and other healthy fluid as during heatwave or summer in general, body tends to sweat a lot where salts are lost. Hence to maintain an electrolyte balance water and drinks are important.
- Wear Lose Clothes: Wear clothes with light colours and that a re a little lose. The clothes should allow the body to breath so that it can simultaneously cool along with sweating.
- Apply Sunscreen: When going out, remember to apply sunscreen and wear sunglasses to protect the skin and eyes from Sun’ s UV damage.
- Avoid Going Out: Try and avoid to go out in open areas specially at noon when the sun scorches bright overheads and leaves all of us parched and dry.
Wear a cap, carry an umbrella to avoid direct sun heat to fall on your head. These are just basic precautions that one must be mindful of to avoid getting dehydrated or having a heatstroke.
Shah Rukh Khan is now well and was discharged the next morning as well.
