Preity Zinta took the desi route at Cannes 2024. After a more than a decade-long gap, her return to the red carpet of the 77th edition of the film festival seems to be themed on simplicity and we love it. Instead of going over the board, ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ actress was draped in pink elegance. Yes, she wore a beautiful sparkly ombre saree with a minimal aesthetics trend.

PREITY ZINTA’S SAREE LOOK AT CANNES 2024

Preity had a ‘Pretty woman dekho dekho na pretty woman’ moment on the red carpet. She looked stunning in an ombre pink sequin georgette saree by Seema Gujral.

Speaking with DD at Cannes, she said, “It is amazing; we have a karmic connection. Now that I feel like taking 2 in my life, I have come back into movies with ‘Lahore 1947’ with Santosh. I got this opportunity to present this amazing, prestigious award to Santosh. BTW, he is not the first Indian, but the first Asian, to be given this award. So I feel great, and I am happy it’s me.”

Preity Zinta is here after almost a decade to present the Pierre Angenieux Excel Lens in Cinematography honour to Santosh Sivan. Zinta’s debut film Dil Se (1998) starring Shah Rukh Khan was with Santosh as the cinematographer. She will once again be working with the cinematographer in Rajkumar Santoshi’s upcoming period drama ‘Lahore 1947’.
