A series of scholarships for Indian students announced by the University of Manchester for September 2024 intake. The scholarships comprises the Global Future Scholarships along with Humanities International Excellence Scholarships which aims to provide the support for exceptional Indian students who plan to pursue their undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the university.

Humanities International Excellence Scholarship

The international students who are pursuing the humanities disciplines at the University of Manchester at the postgraduate level the scholarship is specifically designed for them.

Eligibility Criteria: The applicants must possess the overall score of 60% to 70% (varies by Indian institution) in their undergraduate studies to enroll in a university approved programme.

Humanities Bicentenary Scholarships

The other scholarship provided by the University of Manchester is bicentenary scholarships for the humanities department.

This scholarship provides the financial aid options for qualified candidates.

All the shortlisted scholarship applicants will receive an update via the email. The academic session which will start in September 2024 has already begun its process and requires no new admission process.

Undergraduate: An undergraduate student will receive £2,000 per year of study to UG courses.

Eligibility Criteria: The scholarships are available to the Schools of Environment, School of Arts Languages, Education and Development. Applicants must have completed or are waiting for the results for a maximum of three years of study.

Postgraduate: Whereas postgraduate students will get £10,000 for one year of study.

Eligibility Criteria: The University of Manchester’s scholarships are deducted and applied from the tuition fee at the time of registration. The awards are generated on academic merit along with strength of personal profile. The scholarships are available to the School of Arts Languages and Culture, School of Environment, Education and Development along with School of Social Sciences.

Global Futures Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students worldwide. The Global Futures Scholarship is available for both the undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Undergraduate: For undergraduate students, the University of Manchester provides 100 merit-based scholarships for international students of £21,000.

Postgraduate: While for postgraduate students, the University of Manchester offers 100 merit-based scholarships for international students of £8,000.

The following requirements should be met in order to apply for direct first year entry in 2024: A Levels, IB Diploma, Indian Class 12 (CBSE, ISC, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Gujarat boards only) along with advanced Placement (AP).
