Announced over a year ago, MultiVersus’ day has finally come.
Some players might already have MultiVersus installed, if they played it during its early open beta stage.
Otherwise, you’ll need to wait until it goes live in order to install it and start playing it again.
Here’s all you need to know about MultiVersus ahead of its launch.
For those who don’t yet know, MultiVersus is a platform fighter game, where gamers need to battle on different stages with the goal of knocking their opponent off the boundary.
The primary mode is battling in groups of two characters, although 1v1 and free-for-all versions are also available.
Most attacks are designed with 2v2 in mind, with the goal of dealing enough damage to knock your opponents off the platform.
Within the game, there’s also a perk system that means characters can be customised with passive abilities that improve battles as well.
Signature Perks are exclusive to the respective character and directly improve relevant abilities. If players in the same team equip the same perks, that offers an extra boost as well.
The characters in question are a central part of MultiVersus, with the game featuring 27 playable characters as of May 27 – although more are reportedly planned.
Each figure comes from various Warner Bros IPs, ranging from Adventure Time to Scooby Doo.
Some voice actors are returning to reprise their roles, including Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy.
Each character belongs to one of four classes: Assassin, Bruiser, Mage, and Tank. These are best suited to respective directions, horizontal, vertical, or hybrid.
What time is MultiVersus coming back?
For those keen to play after a year of waiting since the initial announcement, MultiVersus will be released today, on Tuesday, May 28.
