This uplifting masterclass with Laura Dockrill is designed to get you started, no matter your writing experience. Taking a generous and playful approach, Laura will help you coax out your ideas and hone your skills.

This workshop will give you the confidence and tools to start writing, inviting you to be curious and try new things with your words. You’ll be given inspiring prompts, creative tools, and encouraging guidance to help you begin putting ideas onto paper and experimenting with your unique voice as a writer.

Laura Dockrill is a multi-talented, award-winning and incredibly prolific writer of all genres. Her many books for children include the hugely popular Darcy Burdock series and most recently Grey. Her powerful memoir ‘What Have I Done?’ was widely celebrated as one of the best non-fiction books of 2020. As a playwright, her work has been seen at the Royal Festival Hall and the Young Vic. Her novel I Love You, I Love You, I Love You will be published in June 2024. She’s also on the judging panel for the 2024 Women’s Prize for Fiction.
