ICAI CA Exam 2024: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released an important notice regarding stringent action against candidates who adopt unfair means during the Chartered Accountants(CA) examination. According to the policy of the Examination Department of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, among others, possession of a Mobile Phone or any other electronic device/gadget is strictly prohibited inside the examination centre during Chartered Accountants examinations.

“During May 2024 Chartered Accountants Examinations, it was observed that certain examinees were found in the physical possession of the Mobile Phone and some telegram group/WhatsApp group/other channels of communication were found in their mobile phones. All the mobile phones were confiscated, and reports were taken from the Examination Centre and other Functionaries,” reads the official notice.

The Examination Committee of the Institute has taken a serious stance on this matter and has decided to debar all candidates involved in tarnishing the Institute’s image by bringing mobile phones into the examination hall. These candidates will be barred from appearing in the Chartered Accountants Examinations for the next five years. “In view of the above, students are advised to go through the Instructions to Examinees provided along with the admit card, carefully and familiarize themselves with the same to ensure the compliance in letter and spirit,” the Institute further added.
