Why Our Recipe
- All the flavors of s’mores without the campfire.
- Make it with or without coffee!
- Fun presentation option with a toasted marshmallow topper.
With this drink I get to love on s’mores any time I want. I almost always have the ingredients on hand. I always use my homemade hot fudge sauce in this because it is seriously the best ever. And since I have kids, graham crackers and marshmallows seem to always be found in my pantry. So, so, so tasty. Sure, you might be addicted for life, but it’s too good to pass up.
Ingredients
- Milk: We recommend 2% or whole milk for yummy richness. You can also substitute the milk that works for your diet.
- Hot fudge sauce: Any type of hot fudge works great. If you want to make your own, check out our delicious Hot Fudge Sauce recipe.
- Marshmallows: Could also use 16 mini marshmallows or a heaping spoonful of fluff marshmallow.
- Graham crackers: Adds thickness to the frappe and brings the familiar s’mores flavor.
- Espresso shots (optional): If you want to add a little extra pick-me-up, add 1-2 shots of espresso
- Ice cubes: It is important that you do not add the ice until the other ingredients are blended separately to allow for the marshmallows to create a smooth, creamy texture.
Coffee Options
A frappe is simply an icy drink, though Starbucks may have you convinced it always requires coffee. You can make this recipe either way! Want to add coffee to your frappe? You can use one of these options:
- 1 to 2 shots prepared espresso
- 1 teaspoon Instant espresso powder
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup brewed coffee
