$2M Ferrari found in Santa Cruz house being prepared for sale

When Compass real estate agents Dana Bambace and Kimberly Ward were hired to sell a beach house in Santa Cruz, they made an unexpected discovery.

Under a dusty tarp they found a 1963 Ferrari 250GT Lusso, which had been sitting in the garage for decades and was inherited by the seller. Turns out the car was one of only 350 built in Italy and has a value of $1 million to $2.2 million.

In other words, the car is worth almost as much as the home being listed. The 1,690-square-foot house, which has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, is being sold for $2.499 million.

While it may not be as fast and sleek as the Ferrari, the house exudes a warm, beachy vibe with ocean views from both levels. Both the exterior and interior have been updated; features include a new kitchen, baths, floors and garage, which once housed the Ferrari.

The Ferrari also has been restored. It’s for sale, too.
