Presidential Legacy: Former President’s Grandson Endorses Biden in 2024 Race; Distances From Cousin | Wayne Dupree

The former president’s grandson is endorsing President Biden over Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s bid for the White House in 2024.

“John F. Kennedy was the president when I was born. And his legacy is significant,” said Jack Schlossberg, Caroline Kennedy’s 30-year-old son and American ambassador to Australia, in a video posted on Instagram on Friday.

“It’s about a lot more than conspiracy theories and Camelot. It’s about courage and public service,” Schlossberg continued.

The 46th president “shares my grandfather’s vision for America: That we do things not because they are easy, but because they are hard,” he said in support of Biden’s reelection bid.

He cited employment and unemployment rates, investments in green energy and infrastructure, and the nomination of federal judges in saying that President Obama was on the verge of becoming the greatest progressive president our country has ever had.

Schlossberg continued, “He ended the COVID pandemic and he ended Donald Trump,” before denouncing his cousin Kennedy’s bid for the Democratic nomination.

These are the matters that are important. And if my cousin Bobby Kennedy Jr., an environmental lawyer and vaccine skeptic, cared about any of them, he would support Joe Biden as well, Schlossberg said.

“Instead, he’s exploiting Camelot, celebrity conspiracies, and conflict for fame and personal gain,” says the author.

“I have heard him. He’s somebody I know. Schlossberg, who delivered a speech at the fictitious 2020 Democratic National Convention with his mother, said, “I have no idea why anyone thinks he should be president.

“I am aware that his candidacy is embarrassing. Let’s avoid getting sidetracked once more by someone’s pet project, Schlossberg said.

The newest Kennedy family member to oppose the presidential bid of Robert Kennedy Jr.’s son is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School.

Kennedy’s sister Kerry Kennedy called her brother’s comments on COVID-19 and ethnic targeting “deplorable and untruthful” earlier this week.

After the New York Post obtained an audio recording of the 69-year-old presidential candidate suggesting that COVID-19 could have been “ethnically targeted” to stop the deaths of Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese people, former Massachusetts representative Joe Kennedy III (D) also addressed his uncle’s harshly criticized remarks.

The former congressman said, “My uncle’s remarks were hurtful and incorrect.”
