Costco has been known to throw a few curveballs out there in the form of delicious foods and unbeatable prices. Depending on your cravings, some of these curveballs turn out to be fan favorites, while others tend to miss the mark and never take off in popularity.

After witnessing the recent hype over Costco’s frozen chicken bakes, a prepackaged duplicate of the popular food-court item, it was only a matter of time before another product stepped into the limelight. And with summer coming to an end, the latest item to take the Costco freezer section by storm is the perfect snack to get you through the final hot days of the season.

Eagle-eyed social media users have spotted a childhood classic that’s been upgraded to a sweet treat hiding in the freezer aisle: giant Oreo ice cream sandwiches.

Although the price point of $18.99 for an entire box seems kind of steep, each box contains 24 sandwiches, making the cost of each sandwich less than $0.80. And if you judge these ice cream sandwiches based on the reactions reported online, this is definitely a deal you won’t want to pass up.

“That box would be gone so quick, no point of even putting it in the freezer,” stated one confident consumer.

It seems the new ice cream sandwiches have mostly been spotted at Costco locations on the East Coast, so make sure to check with your local store before heading over to the bulk warehouse to stock up. Not an Oreo cookie fan? Costco has you covered with Magnolia Bakery cookies and a decadent and giant peanut butter chocolate pie, both of which are sure to quell your sweet tooth!
