First up, the 11-year-old competed at the Elite Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Championships, winning gold on both days.
On the Saturday, he won the Gi with 17 in his category and Sunday he was in the heavier category for the no Gi, with six in his category.
Next up the youngster jetted to Florida for the most prestigious competition in the world – the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation Pan Ams – and dominated once more.
It was a stacked division of 14 and Blaize beat an opponent seeded number 1 in America in 11 seconds to get to the finals.
In four matches, he achieved four submissions to win gold again.
And the run does not stop for the talented youngster who switched disciplines to wrestling last weekend – but still conquered all.
At the regional Jet Singh Wrestling competition, in Walsall, he again won gold, despite not wrestling for the previous six weeks.
Blaize’s achievements have been all the more remarkable this summer after suffering a grade-one tear in his patella ligament (knee) during a football match which meant he did not train for two weeks and was advised not to compete.
The competitor he is, however, meant mum Jayne – who is a personal trainer – was called upon to get the rehabilitation under way as soon as possible.
Now he is back fit and she explained they have even higher ambitions to compete on a world stage- but need sponsorship and funding to help out.
She said: “Blaize demanded to compete so I did his rehab as I’m a personal trainer.
“I do his strength programme and thanks also go to Tom at Manchester Injury Clinic for his physio.
“Blaize is so talented, but we are constantly looking for sponsorship.
“We would love to do the IBJJF competitions in Las Vegas and the Abu Dhabi Combat Club, in Florida, before the end of the year – but as it is self funded, we are looking for sponsors.”
