It’s that time of the year again, folks! Epic Games is getting ready for Christmas and will be giving away one free game every day for next fifteen games. There are a few gems in the lineup, too. The first freebie is Cities: Skyline.
“The Epic Games Store Holiday Sale begins on December 17, and we’ve got some goodies in store for you. Unwrap deals up to 75% off, but that’s not all… Also starting December 17, we’ll be giving away a new game each day for two weeks straight – that’s right, it’s 15 Days of Free Games!”
There are still a few hours to download last week’s freebies if you forget. Get Pillars of Eternity and Tyranny – action-adventure role-playing games developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Paradox Interactive.
Festive Freebies – Day 1 of Epic Store’s 15-day sale
Someone leaked the complete list on Reddit, which was then later shared on Twitter. However, it could be fake, or Epic might change things up along the way. Therefore, to be on the safe side, we’ll update this series daily.
That said, the leaked list includes some top-of-the-shelf titles, including The Witcher 3, Resident Evil 7, and Horizon Zero Dawn. Today’s freebie is Cities: Skylines. Let’s take a look.
‘Cities: Skylines’ – 17 to 18 December
Cities: Skylines, which was developed by Colossal Order and published by Paradox Interactive back in March 2015, is strat-simulation city builder, and a modern take on the classic city sim genre.
The game introduces new game play elements to realize the thrill and hardships of creating and maintaining a real city whilst expanding on some well-established tropes of the city building experience.

Constructing your city from the ground up is easy to learn, but hard to master. Playing as the mayor of your city you’ll be faced with balancing essential requirements such as education, water, electricity, police, fire fighting, healthcare and much more along with your citys real economy system.
You have until 18:00 South African Standard Time (SAST) on 18 December to download Cities: Skyline for free. Simply head over to the Epic Games launcher to get your copy.
