Manchester Metrolink announced at around 7am today that trams will only run between Whitefield and Victoria due to an operational issue.
This means the service will not be operating at the Bury or Radcliffe stations until further notice.Â
Passengers have been advised that tickets and passes are valid on the following bus services; 95, 98, and 135.Â

A Manchester Metrolink spokesperson said: “Due to a tram fault, there is a service change on the Bury line.
“Services will run between Whitefield and Victoria only.
“There will be no service between Bury and Whitefield. Tickets and passes are being accepted on 95, 98 & 135 bus services.
The news have ben met with annoyance from usual passengers.Â
One said: “Every other day!!! Never known such an unreliable service…the old train decades ago was better than this!”
Another passenger commented: “And so it begins……. Again. The Bury line really is a problem child, isn’t it?”
And: “They keep sending that dodgy tram out again…like they have the last few days”
