RIYADH, Aug 24: Riyadh refuted the claims made in a report by an organization regarding an alleged incident involving Ethiopian nationals at the Saudi-Yemeni border. Saudi Arabia firmly dismissed these allegations as baseless and originating from unreliable sources.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) cited an official source who strongly condemned the propagation of false accusations against the Kingdom. These allegations were asserted to be part of a pattern where certain organizations disseminate politicized and deceptive reports as part of a malicious media campaign driven by ulterior motives.
The source emphasized that Saudi Arabia had previously provided necessary medical assistance to individuals who had sustained gunshot wounds inflicted by armed groups. These groups had attempted to forcibly breach the Saudi-Yemeni border. The source underlined the Kingdom’s dedication to upholding human rights principles outlined in its domestic regulations, international human rights law, and international humanitarian law. Furthermore, it reiterated Saudi Arabia’s commitment to offering humanitarian aid to those found in violation of border security, ensuring they are treated in accordance with the nation’s established protocols and its responsibilities in line with global human rights standards.
