Fans hoping for a piece of the action when Lionel Messi bids to win his second trophy with Inter Miami next month will have to fork out at least $350 to get into the US Open Cup final.

Just four days after capturing his first title in the States, Messi ensured he will have the chance to lift another by inspiring Miami’s US Open Cup semifinal win over Cincinnati on Wednesday.

As a result, he and Inter will compete in the all-important final against Houston Dynamo on Wednesday September 27, which is taking place at their own DRV PNK Stadium.

Tickets prices are already astonishingly high despite the game being over a month away, with the cheapest coming in at $350 at the time of writing.

Standard tickets are available to purchase on Ticketmaster, who set the prices along with Major League Soccer.

The most expensive ticket to buy for the Miami showpiece is priced at an incredible $1,260.

And as it draws closer, resale prices for Messi’s second final with Inter are expected to soar.

Messi mania has well and truly hit the States this summer, with tickets for his long-awaited MLS debut on Saturday night now costing more than $20,000.

The 36-year-old, who joined Miami after leaving French club PSG, has only played in cup fixtures for Tata Martino’s side so far.

He enjoyed a breathtaking start to life in America in the Leagues Cup, scoring 10 goals in his first seven matches to ensure Inter lifted the trophy.

Messi also rescued the team in Wednesday’s dramatic US Open Cup semi against Cincinnati, curling in a sensational last-gasp cross for Leonardo Campana to head home in the dying seconds of stoppage time.

After a 3-3 draw at the end of extra time, he then tucked away his penalty in the shootout as 18-year-old Benjamin Cremaschi converted the winning spot-kick.

Martino has hinted that Messi and others could be rested for this weekend’s MLS clash with New York Red Bulls – despite fans forking out upwards of $20,000 to watch the Argentina World Cup winner.

‘Leo and many other players are reaching an important physical limit and from today we will start to evaluate this – how do I face at least the next three games,’ Martino said after Wednesday’s win over Cincinnati.

‘You also have to take into account the large number of games that we played in 45, 50 days.’
