Manchester United could complete a surprise move for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg before the transfer window closes.
The Red Devils are looking to strengthen their midfield options this week, with the Danish star on the list of targets.

According to The Telegraph, Tottenham have even offered manager Erik ten Hag’s side the chance to open talks.
Hojbjerg is out of favour under new boss Ange Postecoglou with a move away from north London looking increasingly like.
With Mason Mount facing a spell on the sidelines, the 28-year-old would add vital steel to Ten Hag’s side.
Hojbjerg and Ten Hag worked together during their time at Bayern Munich II, meaning that a reunion could be on the cards.
This has led to some fans joking online about the type of player the manager likes to sign.
One asked on Twitter: “Can ten hag not sign anyone he hasn’t managed before or played in Holland?”
Under the Dutchman, United have signed Lisandro Martinez, Andre Onana, Antony from Ajax, while Tyrell Malacia joined from Feyenoord.
Another joked about the boss’ scouting list, writing: “Played in Holland – no. Played for Ten Hag – yes. He matches one of the two criteria. Checks out.”

Another added: “This is getting out of hand now. He only wants to sign players that he has coached before who are struggling to get game time at their own clubs.”
But on a serious note, it’s a rumour that has divided opinion, with many in favour and some against it due to the fact he is not part of Spurs’ first team anymore.
While a deal is yet to be agreed, Man United do want to sign a midfielder before the transfer window shuts on Friday night.
Hojbjerg completed a move to Tottenham in 2020, joining from Southampton.
Since then he has made 147 appearances, scoring 10 times and providing 16 assists from a deep-lying midfield position.
Sofyan Amrabat is another player linked with the problem position at Old Trafford.
