Ginori 1735 Takes Over The St. Regis Venice – WWD

MILAN — As cinema’s greatest names begin to make their way down the Grand Canal of Venice, Ginori 1735 said Thursday it will unveil “Giardino Ginori,” a special takeover of St. Regis Venice’s waterfront garden showcasing the Oriente Italiano collection.

It’s not the first time the Oriente Italiano collection and its rich floral motif have caught Hollywood’s eye.

In May, its campaign, lensed by Gray Sorrenti, featured Jake Gyllenhaal portrayed in a photo series hinging on the Oriente Italiano collection.

The Italian firm said Monday that a “spaghettata di mezzanotte,” Italian for “spaghetti midnight supper,” will welcome notable names and actors in the lagoon for the 80th Venice International Film Festival, which kicked off Thursday and will close Sept. 10.

The collection’s Azalea pattern will be used for the first time on cushions and parasols in a color burst of pastels, overlooking Venetian vistas.

“The canal-facing garden of the beloved Venetian hotel will be the scene of an eye- catching display boasting an eclectic aesthetic inspired by the Oriente Italiano collection,” Ginori 1735 said in a statement.
