Captain Morgan has announced an exciting new shake up to their popular spiced liquor.
The flavoured rum connoisseurs have unveiled Captain Morgan Spiced Gold 0.0%, a booze-free version of Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold, which they say tastes just like the original.
The alcohol-free alternative is the perfect remedy for teetotallers who crave the taste of the popular spiced rum without the headache afterwards, and you can pick it up at most supermarket around the UK.
The new drink has been two years in the making, with the Captain Morgan team working carefully to get the flavours just right by trialling more than 400 recipes.
The 0.0% rum features rich notes of caramel and vanilla infused with a selection of warm brown spices.

Captain Morgan Spiced Gold 0.0% can be used in place of the boozy option in any cocktail or served with a soft drink as a mixer.

Meanwhile, Amanda Brown, Liquid Scientist at Diageo – the company that produces Captain Morgan rum – said it took ‘400 recipes’ before crafting the final product.

Officially launched on 1st September, Captain Morgan Spiced Gold 0.0% will be at Waitrose, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Tesco, with more stores to come.
As health takes priority, ‘mindful drinking’ is becoming more popular, with people looking for a way to still have a ‘good time’ – without bingeing at bottomless brunch or getting legless at Friday’s post-work pints.
Many socialites have ditched alcohol for a cleaner tipple, including Made in Chelsea alumni Spencer Matthews and Millie Mackintosh, as well as It Girls Holly Ramsay and India Rose James.
Meanwhile Cara Delevingne and Lily Allen have also pledged to abandon alcohol.
