Showing a collection of snaps from the last year, Millie showcased how happy she has been in this last year as she focused on her health and her family, rather than the booze.
She captioned the snap: ‘Today I celebrate one year of alcohol free life, my first soberversary!’
‘I’ve been open and honest on here about the reasons why I gave up alcohol and how this was focused around improving and protecting my mental health.
‘It was hard work at first and sometimes it does still feel difficult especially with the social pressure to drink, in our society it almost felt impossible not to, but a big shift happened when I realised I had the power to choose to say no!’

The star shared some adorable snaps of her spending time with her daughters as they all wore matching floral outfits.
She continued: ‘It’s not about ‘giving up’ or ‘quitting’ it’s about living my most authentic life in a way that makes me feel my best.
‘I realised saying no to things that no longer serve me creates space in my life for things that bring me joy, and that’s been a big part of the past year, rediscovering myself, who I am at 34 and what brings me happiness. I care less about what people think of me and I have a lot less anxiety!’
Millie confessed that while she is alcohol free for now, she isn’t saying for definite whether it is a choice she will make for life, however she vows to stay sober for ‘as long as feels right.’
‘I didn’t set a time limit, but I’ll avoid alcohol for it for as long as feels right. I’m so proud of myself for making it a whole year, for making a promise to myself and sticking to it, Millie in her 20’s or even a few years ago wouldn’t have had the courage to make it this far and I’m so proud of that growth.

Millie has spoken in the past about how her decision to quit alcohol came after she decided to better her mental health.
She said on an Instagram story in July: ‘It was a decision I made because I wanted to improve my mental health and in particular my anxiety levels which were really high, particularly after having the second baby coming out of lockdown.’
Sobriety has also helped Millie in her role as a mother to her two little ones.
‘I feel like I’ve really settled into my identity as a Mother, I’ve really loved this year with my girls and we have made so many incredible memories together that I’ll cherish forever,’ she added.

Milestone: The outing comes after Millie opened up about having less anxiety as she celebrated one year of sobriety in an Instagram post last month
Opening up in a Q&A over on her stories on Friday, Millie told admitted that she is never tempted by alcohol.
‘I just kind of got to a place where I feel really happy with my decision and I know it’s what is best for me and my overall health and happiness so choosing a drink over my happiness and wellbeing the following day just doesn’t make sense to me, it’s not really an option.’
‘I don’t see a drink and think ‘Oh I want to have that,’ I just think about how I’m going to feel the next day and there’s so many great alternatives.’
She also joked that while it has changed her social weekend plans, it hasn’t disrupted it as much as having children did: ‘It has a bit, but not as much as having children!’
Discussing whether she would ever drink again she admitted she doesn’t want the pressure of saying she’s never drinking again but she ‘definitely doesn’t feel like she wants to go back to any time soon but who knows in the future.
‘I don’t think it’s something that I can make work for me though, that’s my gut feeling about it, but we’ll see. If I did I think I would drink in a very different way but for now alcohol free life is suiting me.’
