As I’ve said before, having a good sound system to replace your TV’s sad speakers will improve the dialogue on your TV a lot, in that you’ll actually be able to understand what people are saying. Currently, Woot is giving you an opportunity to upgrade your sound system: You can buy a new LG High Res Audio Sound Bar for $279.99 (originally $899.99, depending on who you want to believe).
The deal runs until Oct. 31 or until supplies last. Woot only ships to the 48 contiguous states in the U.S. If you have Amazon Prime, you get free shipping; otherwise, it’ll be $6 to ship.

It’s hard to nail down how much this soundbar and subwoofer combo is valued. LG sells it for $450 with an original price of $899.99. Best Buy sells it for $449.99 (down from $599.99). Amazon has it on a 61% discount, currently at $349.99, down from $899.99. However, what is certain is that Woot has it for the lowest price it’s been in the last four months, at least according to Honey’s price history, and lower than it’s ever sold on Amazon, according to Camelcamelcamel’s price history.
The LG High Res Audio Sound Bar was released in 2022 and comes with Dolby Atmos and a 3.1.3 channel setup. It has Bluetooth and wifi connectivity, so you can connect your Spotify to it directly from your phone. The subwoofer is wireless, also using Bluetooth and/or wifi, so you can place it anywhere in your living room.
