The rumors are true: Netflix and Max are combining forces for a streaming bundle that costs just $10 a month. Of course, there are some strings attached; you must be a Verizon myPlan customer, and the deal includes the ad-supported versions of Netflix and Max.

The bundle kicks in on December 7 and marks the first time the ad-supported services from Netflix and Max are being offered together. To take part, you must be a Verizon mobile customer on the company’s Unlimited Welcome, Unlimited Plus, or Unlimited Ultimate plans, and also be enrolled in myPlan (learn more about pricing here). Also, you’ll still need to set up accounts separately for each streaming service as well as phase out pre-existing subscriptions; as the fine print on Verizon’s announcement notes, for those who already have Netflix and/or Max subscriptions, “enrolling in the Netflix & Max (With Ads) perk may affect existing subscriptions to Netflix and Max. Managing subscriptions may be required to avoid multiple subscriptions and corresponding charges.”

Still, the legwork required might just be worth it. Separately, it’d be $6.99 a month for the Netflix ad tier, while Max’s ad tier is $9.99 a month. (Just to compare, standalone subscriptions without ads will set you back an eye-watering $15.49-$22.99 a month at Netflix, and $15.99-$19.99 a month at Max.) Expect more and more services to set aside their rivalries and offer bundles like this in the future—Apple TV+ and Paramount+ are rumored to be working on a similar offer—as streamers work together to try and overcome the dreaded customer “churn.”
