Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 — $1,249, was $1,449
The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 is more similar to the Microsoft Surface than to a traditional folding 2-in-1. It’s great for productivity work on the go. Aside from the convenience of the folding type cover, it has the internals to fit a demanding business laptop. It has a 12th-Gen Intel Core i7 CPU, which can handle basically anything you through at it. Where it lags behind is in the GPU, as it has a simple Intel Iris Xe. That will still serve you well for spreadsheets and videos, just not intense gaming. It has 16GB of RAM, so everything will run along at a good clip.

What makes the Plus better than the standard XPS 13? according to Dell, it has twice the power. Let’s check out the internals: It has a 13th-Gen Intel Core i7 processor, which can certainly handle most any task. It still has Intel Iris Xe graphics, so it won’t do any serious gaming or rendering. It has an incredible 32GB of RAM, which is definitely enough for as much multitasking as you can throw at it. This model really shines by having a 3.5K OLED touchscreen display, so movies, photos and stylus movement will be crystal clear.
Dell XPS 15 laptop — $1,099, was $1,899
If you liked the Dell XPS 13 but feel the screen is too small, the Dell XPS 15 is a bit larger. It has the same 12th gen Intel i5-12700H and 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and an Iris Xe graphics card. Luckily, the 15.6-inch screen runs at 3456 x 21600, so you get some nice graphical quality, and the 400nits of peak brightness means you can use it everywhere. However, it’s important to note that battery life does suffer significantly when gaming, which is to be expected. The overall build is very sturdy, and for a larger laptop, it’s still relatively lightweight at just over four pounds, which is impressive.

It’s not often you see 17-inch screen laptops in the thin and light category, but the Dell XPS 17 is a great entry, especially if you don’t care so much about the specs as you do the screen. Under the hood, you’ll find a 13th-gen i7-13700H, a solid CPU which, while less powerful than the i9, is still more than enough for most productivity work. You even get a bona fide GPU in the form of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070. You’ll never want for RAM or hard drive storage either, as this model has 16GB and 1TB respectively. As for battery life, it’s still impressive for a laptop with such a big screen, netting you around 11 hours or so, depending on how high you have the brightness on the screen.
