The couple’s son Montgomery was born on Thursday evening, Dame Laura announced on social media.
The proud parents are already mother and father to Albie, born in 2017.
Dame Laura said: “Welcome to the world Montgomery George Kenny. Born July 20 2023, weighing 90lbs at 7.59pm.”
Farnworth-born Sir Kenny, 35 who went to Mount St Joseph School, is Britain’s most decorated Olympic cyclist, having won seven gold medals over the course of his career.
This makes him the most decorated cyclist in the competition’s history, an achievement that earned Sir Kenny a knighthood in the 2022 New Year’s Honours List.
He married Dame Laura, then known by her maiden name as Laura Trott, in September 2016.
Sir Jason, who has also been honoured as a freeman of the borough of Bolton, now works as a coach for GB Cycling and frequently returns to his home town for visits and to help encourage the next generation of young cyclists to take to the tracks.
The Sir Jason Kenny Centre at Bolton One proudly bares the hometown hero’s name in recognition of the work he has done to represent the town and encourage Bolton’s youngsters to follow in his footsteps.
The centre was opened in 2012 and given the updated name of the “Sir” Jason Kenny centre just last year to reflect the Olympian’s knighthood.
Sir Jason and Dame Laura had suffered the heartbreak of a miscarriage in November 2021 and an ectopic pregnancy in January 2022 but have now been overjoyed at the birth of baby Montgomery.

Dame Laura, 31 from Essex, is both the most successful female cyclist, and female athlete in Olympic history, having won five gold medals and one silver.
She was awarded her damehood in the same New Year’s honours list as her husband for services to cycling.
The couple announced that they were expecting Montgomery’s birth in July this year but the now mother-of-two has not ruled out competing at the next Olympic games in Paris next year.
The Paris Olympics are due to start in July 2024.
