Bugatchi Men’s Spring RTW 2024 – WWD

Anthony Keegan set off on a journey for Bugatchi’s spring collection. It was inspired by the vacations he took with his family as a child where he would sit in the back of a station wagon and eagerly anticipate the next stop, but the wardrobe he designed would be better suited for sipping cocktails at an upscale seaside resort than peering out of a dusty car window.

The line, which was designed to “illustrate the beauty of the journey,” featured a relaxed assortment of menswear staples in a palette that ranged from sea foam and rosy pink to different shades of blue.

Key pieces — which were available in a variety of colors — included palm prints that Keegan used on both blazers and sport shirts, textural sweaters and an assortment of sweater-polos.

Linen blazers, cotton jackets with oversize pockets and lightweight suede biker jackets with asymmetrical zip details were intended to help guys “dress up but not look boring,” he said.

The overall aesthetic had a youthful touch without being cliché and offers a refined option for the everyday man who is looking for statement fashion pieces that are sophisticated and tasteful.

While the Montreal-based company is best known for its eight-way stretch shirts in a range of colors and patterns, under Keegan, who joined the company last year, Bugatchi has proven it’s more than just shirts. It is being sold in Neiman Marcus and will soon be joining the mix at Nordstrom. “We have the permission to be a full lifestyle brand now,” he said.

The journey continues….
