Chelsea striker Mason Burstow makes loan move to Championship side Sunderland amidst Mauricio Pochettino’s Blues reboost
Sunderland have successfully secured the loan signing of Chelsea’s promising striker, Mason Burstow, who is currently training with the Black Cats.
The striker joins a long-list of completed summer deals as the transfer window draws to a close.
Burstow, a talented 20-year-old, has been on the bench for Chelsea’s Premier League opener against Liverpool.
More recently, he came off the bench against West Ham in a 3-1 defeat at the London Stadium, and again in their Luton Town clash.
Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino entrusted Burstow with a starting role in Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup match against Wimbledon.
Burstow’s arrival at Sunderland is a significant achievement for the club, coming on the heels of their recent transfer dealings.

‘Mason is one of the brightest young centre forwards on the cusp of the Premier League environment.
‘He is a player that we have monitored for some time’ added Speakman. ‘We are delighted that he has chosen Sunderland.
‘Mason is a mobile number nine with experience in the EFL and he has had a really positive impact on Chelsea’s first-team squad this summer, so we are excited to see the impact he can make in our team.’

‘I’m here to bring goals to the team and keep supporters on the edge of their seats. I can’t wait to walk out at the Stadium of Light for the first time after the international break.’
