Postpone ICAI CA May Intermediate, Final Exams 2024: The Delhi High Court(HC) will on Monday hear the petition to postpone the ICAI CA May Intermediate, Final Exams 2024. Amid the upcoming 18th Lok Sabha general elections, CA aspirants have been demanding the postponement of the CA Intermediate and Final exams, scheduled by the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) for May 2024, to June. Over the last month, students, CA experts, and various student organizations have been urging the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to reconsider the scheduling of the CA Intermediate and Final Exams from May to June.
Despite ICAI’s decision to avoid potential clashes with the impending Lok Sabha elections, CA aspirants remain dissatisfied with the revised exam schedule. They are requesting the Institute to postpone the ICAI Intermediate and Final exams to June, citing several concerns related to the elections.
Showing support for CA aspirants, Child activist Anubha Srivastava Sahai wrote,”#castudents from 16 states and one Union Territory which includes disabled students as well, moves court against the #caexams which are going to be conducted by #icai during elections. Several students have been requesting to reschedule it.”

The revised schedule for the CA Intermediate exams indicates that Group 1 will now take place on May 3, 5, and 9 instead of May 7. Similarly, Group 2 will be held on May 11, 15, and 17 instead of May 9, 11, and 13 as previously planned. For the ICAI Group-I Final Examination Final exams, the examination will be conducted on May 2, 4, and 8 instead of May 6, while ICAI Group-II Final Examination will occur on May 10, 14, and 16 instead of May 8, 10, and 12.
