Drake to surprise STL fan with $100k after winning Chiefs bet

ST. LOUIS – Thousands gathered at Enterprise Center Monday for Grammy award-winning artists Drake and J. Cole’s “Big As The What?” Tour.

Fans are excited in hopes of being the lucky fan Drake will grant thousands of dollars to.

“Well, that may be one of the reasons I got here a little bit early tonight—to make something like that happen. I know he put $1.2 million on the Chiefs last night, and he won last night so maybe today is the lucky day for it,” attendee Bennett Moore said.

Drake took to Instagram the $1.2 million bet he made on the Kansas City Chiefs to win the Super Bowl. Since the Chiefs took home the trophy, he stated that he would give a monetary surprise to a fan.

“If Drake grants me $100,000, we’re going to turn our provisional patents into full patents,” Pierre Paul, attendee, said. “We’re going to move forward with the new invention that we have coming out in 2024.”

Fans camped outside starting as early as 4 a.m. to get in line for the concert. Some fans are so dedicated that they flew over 1,000 miles to see Drake and J. Cole perform in St. Louis.

“(My sister and her friends) go to school at Wash U and I flew here to go with them,” Giesaria Motwani, Florida resident, said.

Since Drake granted a fan $100,000 at one of his previous shows, St. Louis fans are looking forward to seeing what the artist has in store for his two-night show.

Some already know what they would do if they won the money from Drake.

“I’ll put it towards my college tuition,” Sohibe Ahmed, attendee, said.

“I’ll probably pay debt for my nursing school and probably donate some, honestly,” Tori Boyse, attendee, said.
