How to watch Jets-Giants preseason 2023 Week 3 at MetLife Stadium

This is what all the fuss is about.

Aaron Rodgers will make his Jets debut in the team’s preseason finale Saturday vs. the Giants at MetLife Stadium.

Rodgers, acquired in the offseason trade with the Packers, hasn’t played in the preseason since 2018.

After sitting out the Jets’ first three preseason matchups, Rodgers and head coach Robert Saleh are on the same page and want to get the four-time NFL MVP some game-action reps with the Jets’ first-team offense.

While it will be Rodgers’ first Jets game at MetLife Stadium, technically the Giants are the home team for this year’s Snoopy Bowl:

Injury report and playing time

Jets: Saleh said Rodgers likely will play multiple series against the Giants.

“We’ll see how it goes,” Saleh said. “I don’t want to just throw him out there for a series and get him out. Would like to see those guys go through transition, get to the sideline, have some adjustments, get back to the field, play with those adjustments. So you’d like to see that transition happen a few times.”

Rodgers will take snaps behind an offensive line which remains a work in progress. Mekhi Becton is moving to right tackle and left tackle Duane Brown is back from the physically unable to perform list.

Corey Davis’ unexpected retirement Wednesday presents an opportunity for rookie wide receivers Jason Brownlee and Xavier Gipson to pick up some playing time.

Newly-signed running back Dalvin Cook has returned to the team but isn’t expected to play. Same goes for Breece Hall.

Giants: The offensive line remains in flux with the team rotating through Ben Bredeson, Mark Glowinski and Josh Ezeudu at guard.

Don’t look for tight end Tommy Sweeney, who’s recovering after he collapsed Wednesday at practice.
