Iconic manga series, “Captain Tsubasa” known as “Captain Majid” returns with a second season|Arab News Japan

The long-awaited Captain Tsubasa, known in the Arab world as “Captain Majid”, season 2 will finally premier on October 1.

The official website for the anime Captain Tsubasa: Junior Youth Arc, released the anime’s full promotional video on Saturday, with the opening theme song “As One” by Johnny’s West, who contributed theme songs to the 2018 Captain Tsubasa.

The cartoon is an old-school favorite in the Middle East as it tells the story of an 11-year-old boy who loves soccer and is greatly recognized by his coach as he demonstrates exceptional skills in the sport.

The coach recommends Tsubasa to go with him to Brazil and train for the world cup.

Watching dubbed Japanese anime series in Arabic was an essential aspect of childhood in the Arab world.

From “Adnan wa Linda” to “Pokemon”, “Captain Majid” showed to be the most loved Japanese manga series among Arab countries.

Arab News conducted a YouGov survey that showed “Captain Majid” to be the number one running Japanese manga series as 75% of respondents ranked the series as their favorite.

The second season will have a few additions to it; Jun Fukuyama will join the cast as Karl Heinz Schneider and cast members such as Yuko Sanpei, Kenichi Suzumura, Yuichiro Umehara, Mutsumi Tamura, Wataru Hatano, and Soma Saito will play Tsubasa Ozora, Genzo Wakabayashi, Kojiro Hyuga, Taro Misaki, Ken Wakashimazu, Ryo ishisaki, Hikaru Matsuyama, and Jun Misugi respectively.

As well existing cast members, new members will be joining to add to the adventures of Captain Majid season 2.

The new cast members include, Kenta Miyake, Junya Enoki, Kazuyuki Okitsu, Kengo Kawanishi, Yuki Ono, Yoshitsugu, Daiki Yamashita, and Seiichiro Yamashita.

The four year long await is keeping people at the edge of their seats to find out what Captain Majid has for them.
