Jennifer Love Hewitt appears to be getting ready for fall. On Aug. 26, the actor paid a visit to her go-to hairstylist, Nikki Lee at Nine Zero One Hair Salon in West Hollywood. Not only did she get rid of the “bronde” streaks that she had been wearing for the better part of the year, but she also revealed a major chop, debuting a shorter look.

Hewitt’s hair was cut into a blunt bob haircut that just grazed her chin and her color was transformed into the trendy “bropper” hue, which is a brunette twist on copper. To complete the reveal, she accessorized with gold jewelry and minimal makeup. Then, a few days later on Aug. 28, Hewitt posted a cryptic message on her Instagram Stories seemingly alluding to why she did the big chop.

“When a woman wants to change her life. She cuts her hair short,” the post read. The screenshot was quickly followed by a series of posts where Hewitt gave fans a peek at her workout routine and healthy snacks, so while we can’t be 100 percent sure what exactly changed in her life, it looks like Hewitt is feeling the “new year new me” energy early.

The cut itself is a popular choice. Bobs have been trending for the past year and bropper is the latest color to make waves on social media. It is a variation of the copper-hair trend that just won’t quit, especially after being spotted on celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Megan Fox, and Lily James. This new take, however, keeps things fairly natural by playing up your brunette base and adding flecks of gold and red tones with highlights. If you, like Hewitt, are on the hunt for a new style as summer comes to an end, take a closer peek at hers to get some inspiration.
