The new Toyota Crown Sedan made its grand debut in Japan today, and the tuning experts at Modellista wasted no time in adding a touch of sporty flair. While some might expect wild and audacious modifications, Modellista took a refined approach this time, in line with the character of the more traditional bodystyle.

Modellista’s kit for the electrified Toyota includes a set of cohesive upgrades, featuring a front splitter, side skirts, and rear bumper extensions, all adorned with chrome inserts. These enhancements lend it a sleeker, more dynamic profile. Complementing these changes are a body-colored ducktail rear spoiler and mirror caps adorned with tasteful chrome accents. However, the pièce de résistance is undoubtedly the 21-inch alloy wheels, boasting a glossy bi-tone finish and a multi-layer five-spoke design.

The subtle bodykit is enough to spice up the looks of the Crown sedan, at least until the Gazoo Racing department does its magic and gives us a proper performance-focused version. The latest addition to the growing Crown-badged lineup is available in Japan with either a 2.5-liter multi-stage hybrid powertrain, or a Mirai-sourced hydrogen FCEV.

As with the rest of the Modellista lineup, the Crown sedan also benefits from branded license plate bolts, door handle protectors, tinted windows, and a sunshade. Last but not least, the company offers a nifty seat cushion that doubles as a stylish tote bag and which is also available for the Toyota Crown Sport SUV.

In terms of pricing, the complete aero kit costs ¥333,300 ($2,218), but the set of 21-inch wheels is way more expensive at ¥673,200 ($4,480). The rest of the accessories are more affordable, including the “smart cushion tote bag” which is priced at ¥9,900 ($66).
