Thanks to a partnership with Blizzard Entertainment, Porsche is coming to Overwatch 2 this spring
Porsche is looking to expand their video game presence beyond the world of motorsport to appeal to a wider group of people. As part of this effort, they’ve teamed up with Blizzard Entertainment to bring special skins to Overwatch 2.
For those unfamiliar with the title, it’s one of the most popular games in the world and is free-to-play on PC as well as consoles such as Xbox, PlayStation, and the Nintendo Switch. While it’s an unusual move, the company said the “goal of this collaboration is to introduce the sleek design of the Porsche brand in an unexpected, entertaining way.”
The skins will be launched this spring and one of them will be inspired by the all-new Macan EV. It’s for D.Va, who has a “robot-like Mech.” The latter is heavily inspired by the crossover as it has Macan-inspired lighting units and Porsche’s new Turbonite crest.

While the renderings are interesting by themselves, Porsche used South by Southwest to unveil a life-sized Mech statue. It makes the puny Tesla Bot look like child’s play.
The Mech will be shown at various events throughout the year and Porsche’s Head of Brand Management and Partnerships, Deniz Keskin, said “The young and diverse Overwatch 2 community is very exciting for us as a brand.”
As he explained, “Overwatch 2 offers a sophisticated backstory, and players can easily identify with the characters. These were important building blocks for us to create a brand collaboration with Blizzard, and tell a story inspired by the new all-electric Macan.”
