LONDON, Feb 5, (Agencies): Prince William is returning to his royal duties after taking a hiatus to assist in the care of his wife, Kate Middleton. Princess Kate, aged 42, was discharged from the hospital last Monday after undergoing abdominal surgery and receiving nearly two weeks of attentive care.
Throughout her recovery period and following her release, Prince William, aged 41, dedicated himself to looking after their three children: 10-year-old Prince George, 8-year-old Princess Charlotte, and 5-year-old Prince Louis. The family resides at Adelaide Cottage, situated on the Windsor Castle estate.
As Prince William resumes his official responsibilities, he will be hosting his first public outing since Princess Kate’s surgery. On Wednesday, he will be conducting a morning of investitures on behalf of his father, King Charles. Notably, King Charles is currently in recovery following his own operation for an enlarged prostate.
During the investiture event at Windsor, Prince William will be honoring members of the public and other prominent individuals with awards granted during the New Year or to commemorate the monarch’s birthday.
