French label Rabanne, owned by Spanish fashion group Puig, has announced the launch of its first make-up line, characterised by the bold, avant-garde design codes that have always been a feature of Rabanne.

“High-performance, no-compromise formulations combine with maximum chromatic yield through ingredients that love and take care of skin,” said Rabanne in a press release. “Inspired by fashion fabrics, the line’s surprising luminous, mat, glossy and metallic finishes are inspired by the Maison’s iconic codes, reinvented for a future generation of change-makers. All formulations are vegan, and are consistent with Rabanne’s commitment to promote long-term sustainability,” added the label.

The packaging is inspired by the metallic details that characterise some of the label’s creations, and feature containers in glossy gold, silver and chrome. Their design reflects some of the most iconic Rabanne products, like the 1969 handbag and the XL jewellery line.

The collection consists of three separate lines – Eyephoria, Rouge Rabanne and Arts Factory – and includes eye-shadow, eyelash primer, mascara, glitter-effect eyelash top coat, cream eye-shadow, lipstick, plump-effect coloured lip balm, face and body glitter spray, blusher, face powder and more. Prices range from €19 to €35.

The new line will be presented at the label’s Spring/Summer 2024 runway show in Paris, and will be spearheaded by Diane Kendal, recently appointed as beauty creative director of Rabanne.

The British make-up artist started her 30-year career after graduating from the London College of Fashion. She “began to work for British magazines and later moved to New York, where she became influential within the emerging grunge movement. Since then, she has always been one of the beauty world’s most influential figures, collaborating with photographers like David Sims, Patrick Demarchelier, Craig McDean, Mert Atlas and Mario Sorrenti, and her work is featured in many prestigious publications,” said Rabanne.
