Over the course of 5-6 months, I underwent an incredible transformation, shedding an astonishing 25 kilograms. It was a journey filled with dedication, perseverance, and adaptability, as I had to find creative ways to work out at home and maintain a healthy diet while staying safe.
What Was Your Weight Loss Diet And Routine?
My weight loss journey revolved around the practice of intermittent fasting, initially chosen for its effectiveness in achieving the desired shape and optimizing digestion. To kickstart this transformation, I embarked on a 21-day challenge, combining intermittent fasting with consistent workouts. The results were astounding – I felt lighter, and my skin started to glow, all thanks to the right kind of eating at the right times. I mainly followed the 16:8 method of intermittent fasting, which has continued to be a key part of my daily routine, no matter how busy life gets. My diet was well-balanced, emphasizing nuts, fruits, and home-cooked meals because, in the end, simplicity and wholesome nutrition proved to be the most effective path to success.
Did You Completely Cut Down on Sugar?
Primarily, yes, I got off sugar for 40 days which really worked out for me as sugar is absolutely not necessary for the human body. We can always replace sugar with Gudd/Mishri which is a healthier alternative to Sugar/Honey. Even now, I try to avoid sugar as much as I can!
Did You Have Cheat Meals?
In the early stages of my weight loss journey, I had cheat meals once every two weeks, driven by a deep commitment to my goals. However, as time passed, I transitioned to enjoying one cheat meal per week, usually on Sundays. This indulgence often includes my mother’s delicious halwa or puri, or something fried. Sometimes, I can’t resist the temptation of a pizza or fries from McDonald’s. I firmly believe that treating yourself occasionally and staying happy is vital in a weight loss journey. It adds motivation and keeps you going further towards your goals.
What is One Rule That You Abide by For Losing Weight?
No SUGAR stick to gudd/mishri, Being CONSISTENT, DISCIPLINED and DEDICATED no matter how hard life treats you because one usually breaks into a food coma when stressed.
What Was One Thing That Worked Best For You?
Intermittent fasting of 16:8 worked really well for me which I continue to practice today as well. Working out 5-6 times a week and completing 10,000 steps a day. This has been a game changer for me in shredding those 25 kilos swiftly!
One Challenge That You Faced And How Did You Overcome It?
One significant challenge I encountered on my weight loss journey was the initial lack of progress. I couldn’t see any changes in my body, and it left me feeling demotivated and disheartened every day. I began to doubt whether it was even possible.
This struggle affected my consistency and made each workout a daunting task. However, my unwavering determination to achieve a fitter body and participate in a pageant kept me going. I chose to be disciplined in my food habits, stick to my workout routines, and ensure I completed 10,000 steps every day without fail. Through this persistence and commitment, I eventually achieved my goal weight of 55 kilograms after all the hustle and hard work. During my weight loss journey, I came across a common weight loss myth that I found to be quite misleading. The truth I’ve discovered and strongly advocate is that it’s not about the drinks or medications; it’s about moving your body and maintaining a clean, balanced diet. The key is to train your mind to believe that if you’re putting in the effort, it’s working, and you’ll soon achieve your desired fitness goals.
