Like many other non-school students, I still try to improve my life and become more organized when syllabus season rolls around. (It’s just ingrained at this point.) One of the biggest issues for my wallet that I’ve sought to remedy is that when I go into the office, I don’t bring my lunch. It’s partially out of laziness and also because I usually eat salads for lunch — it isn’t exactly appetizing to eat a salad that’s been soaking in dressing for multiple hours.
And, since I hail from the Midwest, in order to be enticed enough to eat vegetables, I need them to be doused in some kind of sauce. It is unfortunate, and I’ve tried to change my ways, but I’ve had no such luck. My boyfriend teases me mercilessly for how much I like ranch dressing. So in order to bring my salad to work without bringing an entire bottle of dressing to the office (which admittedly I have done before), I went to Amazon to find a solution. I came across these stainless-steel salad dressing containers with silicone lids and decided to try them out.
What is the [8 Pack] Salad Dressing Container To Go?
The [8 Pack] Salad Dressing Containers To Go are a set that you can purchase on Amazon. Each container is made out of stainless steel, and it comes with eight premium food-grade silicone lids in eight different colors. The silicone lid creates an air-tight seal, so not a drop of salad dressing will spill out into a bag or Bento box. They can hold 2.4 ounces of liquid or solid snacks. It does not say if these are dishwasher-safe, however, so they should be washed by hand.
Why I Love the [8 Pack] Salad Dressing Container To Go
When I was shopping around, I wanted more than a sealable plastic option. I haven’t had the best luck with those (major spills in tote bags), so I wanted one that looked a little more durable. Despite these containers’ low price, I was thrilled to discover that they seem long-lasting and totally leak-proof. As a test, I dropped one on my kitchen floor, and the lid stayed on tight.
Because these containers are made out of stainless steel, they also have the ability to keep dressing, cheese, or other condiments you’re bringing to work cold. New York City has been extremely hot and humid this summer, and sometimes if I just miss the subway, my commute balloons to 40 minutes. When I got to work, I checked my dressing and it was still as cold as it was when I pulled it out of the fridge. And, although you can’t put these in the dishwasher, they don’t take long at all to rinse out and wash. I usually let them air dry on my drying rack. Overall, I think they’re worth the $12, and they’ve been inspiring me to bring my lunch to work.
