Tesla Cybertruck Wants To Look Fly On Ludicrous 30-inch Rims

If love-it-or-hate-it is the theme of the Cybertruck, these wheels might take it up a few notches

Tesla Cybertruck Wants To Look Fly On Ludicrous 30-inch Rims

  • 30-inch wheels fit on the Tesla Cybertruck provided that the tires are skinny enough.
  • Some will hate these wheels the same way that they do the Cybertruck in general.
  • It can be argued that they fit the Tesla pickup just right though.

If there’s one vehicle that people widely agree is divisive it’s the Tesla Cybertruck and one owner has made it even more so by throwing in some 30-inch wheels on it. t. Despite the known limitations of the Cybertruck’s suspension architecture regarding wheel and tire choice, these wheels seem to fit without modification. Now the question remains: are they ludicrous or just the right fit for the slab-sided pickup

Installed on the electric truck by Omar’s Wheels and Tires of Dallas, Texas, these 30-inch Forgiato wheels are designed and built in California. Called the Parlante design by Forgiato, they share almost no design cohesion with the Cybertruck itself. It’s unclear what size tires are required for this fitment but they’re clearly quite skinny.

The owner, Corey Jones, says that they’re made by a company called Versatyre. It has a design location in Texas though it’s unclear where these particular tires are made. Nevertheless, they appear to fit with the wheels under the Cybertruck without rubbing or other fitment issues.

That’s somewhat surprising given early indications that upsizing wheel and tire fitment could be a problem for Cybertruck owners. In this case, it’s likely that the final wheel and tire package is very similar to the original in terms of overall diameter and width.

Regardless, these wheels are certain to set off some negative reactions as they’re little more than status symbols. They’ll objectively make the ride quality worse since there’s less tire to absorb road impacts. They also take what looked like a somewhat capable truck and turn it into something that might struggle to climb a curb without damage. That’s not the whole story though.

Frankly, there might be an argument that these are the perfect wheels for the Cybertruck. Sure, they’ll be a major hindrance off-road but how many CT owners are really doing that? Most of these EVs will likely end up as pavement princesses so these wheels won’t hurt that kind of performance. They’ll be more jarring than the stock setup but not so much to completely negate their use.

In addition, they’re polarizing, something that the Cybertruck is uniquely known for—and let’s face it, it’s one of the reasons many buyers are drawn to it. Finally, while the silver hue doesn’t perfectly match the body, that’s almost too spot on in terms of Cybertruck uniformity. In that context, they might just be the perfect addition.
