ASLEF have announced a series of fresh train strikes which will begin Tuesday 30 January and last until Monday 5 February 2024.
These ‘rolling’ strikes will affect different train companies on different days of the week. However, all operators will be impacted by an overtime ban that will coincide with the strikes starting from Monday 29 January until Tuesday 6 February.

Monday 29 January: overtime ban starts
Tuesday 30 January: strikes on South Western Railway, Southeastern, Southern, Gatwick Express, Great Northern and Thameslink
Wednesday 31 January: strike on Northern and TransPennine Express
Thursday 1 February: no strike but overtime ban continues
Friday 2 February: strike on Greater Anglia (including the Stansted Express), c2c and LNER
Saturday 3 February: strike on Avanti West Coast and East Midlands Railway, London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway
Sunday 4 February: no strike but overtime ban continues
Monday 5 February: strike on Great Western Railway, CrossCountry and Chiltern
Tuesday 6 February: no strike but overtime ban continues until the end of the day
