Fresh CCTV footage showing Broncos stars Reece Walsh and Payne Haas wrestling in public on Sunday has emerged – as captain Adam Reynolds revealed the brutal conversation he had with his kids at home following the drunken incident with teammate Pat Carrigan.

In the clip, Haas, 24, and Walsh, 21, can be seen skylarking – and while the pair didn’t get into a scuffle like their teammates, questions will continue to be asked about the club’s culture and attitude towards alcohol.

Both players also have colourful pasts, with Walsh previously arrested for possessing cocaine on the Gold Coast while Haas was charged with offensive language and intimidate police officer in execution of duty in 2021 following an incident at Tweed Heads.

Reynolds and Carrigan both apologised on Tuesday after vision emerged of them in a scuffle in Brisbane party spot Fortitude Valley on Sunday.

It followed a fan day at the club’s headquarters at Red Hill, with 33-year-old Reynolds stating he was ’embarrassed’ at his own behaviour.

‘I’ve got four kids at home that unfortunately get to see dad in a bit of a scuffle….it’s embarrassing,’ he said.

‘I sat them down, explained the situation, explained that it’s going to be on the news.’

Reynolds then told Triple M on Wednesday it was now ‘about moving forward, trying to regain that trust and set an example for others.’

It can now also be revealed the Broncos booked a nightclub in Las Vegas for the players to attend after their game against the Roosters on March 3.

Those plans have since been cancelled – and Reynolds also denied the club has an alcohol problem that needs addressing.

‘It was just a slip-up from myself and Patty. We regret our decisions,’ he added.

‘We’ve got great staff around us – Kevvie [Walters] and the coaching staff.

‘They have put measures in place and we will learn a lot from this.’

According to reports, Reynolds was trying to get Carrigan into a taxi when the altercation broke out.

‘I take full responsibility for what happened, it’s obviously not good enough,’ the veteran halfback said on Tuesday.

‘I’m pretty disappointed in it. We are a really tight group. We understand it’s not a good look. We were there as mates. It started out as a playful fight, a little bit of wrestle. It [just] got a little bit heated.’

Carrigan added that he also takes ‘full responsibility’ for his actions and it ‘wasn’t behaviour he was proud of.’

The NRL Integrity Unit is likely to fine the pair, rather than pushing for a ban.
