After finding love together, Troian Bellisario and Patrick J. Adams set out to create their dream home. Their unique Los Angeles house, which they recently toured for Architectural Digest back in April, is chock-full of personal details, including romantic relics from their own love story. “We have a lot of things and that’s because he is a very organized Virgo, and I’m a very sentimental packrat,” Bellisario said.
The tour began with one of the biggest rooms in the house, affectionately dubbed “the great hall” for its grandiosity and sheer size. “We were scared of this room to be perfectly honest,” Adams said, pointing to the original iron work, vaulted ceilings, and a Juliette balcony perfect for dance parties.
Among the couple’s sentimental decor are the original books they read their vows in, as well as a series of notes they wrote to each other during a fight in Paris. “We didn’t want to talk to one another, but we wanted to not be in a fight anymore,” Adams explained, saving and eventually framing the letters as a gift for Bellisario. “I love you even when you make up the rules . . . especially when you make up the rules,” one of the notes read. “You still want to spend a lifetime breaking rules together?”
The love ran strong throughout the rest of the house as well, with Bellisario laughing after noticing another note in the primary bathroom. “He likes to leave me notes and I never want to take them down,” she said, pointing to a message reading “love you the most” written on the mirror in lipstick.
Bellisario and Adams originally met on the set of a play in 2009 and married in 2016. Since then, they’ve starred in shows together (who could forget Bellisario’s “Suits” cameo?) and welcomed two daughters together: 4-year-old Aurora and 2-year-old Elliot.
