After winning the NBA Finals in June 2023, Denver Nuggets star center Nikola Jokic said, “The job is done. We can go home now.”
Pretty soon, it’s back to the court for Jokic’s Nuggets though.
Starting Oct. 10, the returning NBA champions tip off the preseason against the Phoenix Suns.
From there, Jokic, Jamal Murray, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Michael Porter Jr. and Aaron Gordon will defend their title all season long in a quest to repeat after winning their first championship in the mile high state.
That includes huge games against LeBron’s Lakers, Wembanyama’s Spurs, Butler’s Heat, Giannis’ Bucks and Steph’s Warriors.
And given that the team is the toast of the town, tickets are surprisingly cheap to catch the Nuggets at Denver’s Ball Arena this year and next.
