It’s unclear when Stanfield and Trice first started dating, but what is known is that their connection was strong from the start. People previously reported that the couple met in Canada, where Stanfield was working at the time. In fact, he told the outlet that love “just smacked” them “out of nowhere.”
“I’m working on my music, writing and writing, and then this person who I was seemingly writing about pops up in my life,” he added. “It was strange.”
Stanfield asked Trice for her hand in marriage while on a romantic vacation just ahead of the model’s birthday in December 2022. The couple confirmed their wedding news to People in July 2023. At the time, they also revealed they had quietly welcomed their first child together.
