Wooden Tesla Cybertruck Beats Actual Electric Counterpart To The Punch And The Road

Tesla might be battling with various issues in the Cybertruck production line, but a woodworking master from Vietnam has already completed his version of the electric pickup. As if a functional Cybertruck with a detailed exterior and interior made of wood wasn’t impressive enough, the man also created a matching model of the Cyberquad completing the ultimate toy garage duo.

These wooden wonders are brought to you by the YouTube channelND – Woodworking Art, where they entertain a whopping 2.62 million subscribers by crafting cars and bikes entirely out of wood. Supposedly, it’s all for the guy’s son, who must have a garage full of about 1,000 wooden vehicles by now. But let’s be real, we all suspect it’s a clever title ploy to outsmart that YouTube algorithm that loves repetitiveness.

Back to the wooden Tesla, the lumberjack Cybertruck is larger compared to previous builds – including the Lamborghini Sian and the Bugatti Centodieci – making it look even more realistic.

The process, which allegedly took 100 days, starts with the assembly of a metal frame, before mounting the wheels and the suspension. Remember that this is a functional model, so the builder added a battery pack and an electric motor, in line with the zero-emission character of the original.

The boxy exterior of the Tesla Cybertruck might be easier to carve from wood than the sculpted body of an exotic hypercar, but it still requires great attention to detail in order for all the panels to align correctly. In fact, the wooden Cybertruck by ND – Woodworking Art has tighter body panels than the original, proving the skills of the builder. The bumpers, fenders, and side sills are made of a darker-color wood, contrasting the light shade of the main bodywork. The builder even took the time to create detailed replicas of the wheel covers, mirrors, and functional LEDs, while dark-tinted transparent panels replicate the flat windshield and panoramic roof.

What is more impressive is that behind the 4 functional doors there is a detailed interior with a wooden dashboard, yoke-shaped steering wheel, center console, and seats mirroring the style of the original Cybertruck. Last but not least, the rear bed is large enough for the wooden Cyberquad, which rolls on it via the extendable tailgate that transforms into a ramp.

After the painstaking process of carving and assembling each individual component, the EVs went for a test drive, proving their sturdiness and build quality. Of course, the wooden Cybertruck is not street legal and can only be driven at low speeds, but it wasn’t intended to be used as a car in the first place.

We’re sure that many people would love to own such a feast of woodcarving art but this particular example was built for Elon Musk. In a special note at the end of the video, ND – Woodworking Art offers the wooden EV as a gift to the Tesla CEO who will hopefully notice the tag on X (former Twitter) and appreciate the illuminated X emblem on the doors.
